Charity Trustee / Governance Team
His Place Charity has a board of trustees with Nigel Sinden being the Chairman, Christine Brewer as Treasurer. We have a total of eight trustees who bring a range of skills from business, welfare sector, and general community all with different life experiences and range of communities.

| Christopher Sears, MBE, is co-founder of St Leonards Pentecostal Church, now called ‘His Place Community Church’. Chris started sharing the gospel as a lay preacher at the age of 14 in Maidstone Congregational Church. Chris is married to Margaret who for many years served with him as pastoral support and children’s worker until she retired. Chris is no longer undertaking long sermons due to his health. Chris now dedicates his time to upholding the His Place community in prayer and providing pastoral support and guidance. | Nicola was born in West Sussex, and grew up in Norfolk. After finishing college, Nicola moved to Ashburnham Christian Conference Centre to volunteer. Nicola joined St Leonards Parish church in 1995. Nicola remained an active member of the PCC and Church Warden as well as Sunday School teacher until joining His Place in 2014. Her career in Health and Social Care has led to work at a secondary school in Eastbourne where her faith and career path work hand in hand. | Caroline was born in Hastings, and is married with two grown up daughters. Caroline came to His Place following her time at Elim where she was a children’s worker and very active member of there team. Caroline’s vision is to see His Place building restored so that community work can carry on. Caroline has a heart for evangelism and enjoys leading people to their Sea baptisms! Caroline & Nicola are known to be on hand 24hr a day for the support of the café & church community. |
Perpetual Boatemaa & Ransford Akowuah Pastoral Team Assistant Pastor Ransford is known by us as Rahni, he has been part of the His Place Church Community for 3 years now. Rani’s wife Pep was able to finally move to the UK last year following her qualifying as a General Practitioner in Ghana. Rani and Pep have both been in leadership at the home church in Ghana and are both strong in worship leading and preaching. They bring a passion for supporting others and traditional family and community values which sit perfectly with the His Place vision.
